The Perfect Gift

This week we read the story One Snowy Night by M. Christina Butler. This is a great story about being thoughtful and giving during the holiday season. When we were finished reading I asked the children to get together with a partner and Think, Pair, Share what they thought would be the perfect gift for their mom and dad. Here are some of their answers...

What would be the perfect gift for mom?
Lilly "a rose because it smells good"
Nicolas "a hat to keep her warm"
Taliah "a picture of my family"
Elizabeth "a Doctor Who lego kit because she likes Doctor Who"
Joshua "money with a money card so she can buy things"
Harper "a teddy bear for mom to sleep with"
Jenna "a ring and necklace would make her so happy"
Nolan "a card because she likes them"
Marshall "a hat because it keeps her warm"
Alessia "earrings because they're pretty"
Reese "a card"
Matteo " a bracelet because I'm going to put my heart on it"
Maryn "a necklace because it's pretty"

What would be the perfect gift for dad?
Joshua "a warm coat with a big hat to keep him warm"
Nolan "a scarf to keep him warm"
Matteo "a construction hat and coat because he's a construction worker"
Maryn "a brown bike and a purple bike because he likes to ride bikes and does great at races"
Taliah "Star Wars lego because he likes Star Wars"
Elizabeth "Lego Star Wars because he likes the movies"
Alessia "something to lift when exercising"
Marshall "a fire truck because he likes fire trucks"
Nicolas "a police badge because he likes the police"
Jenna "a hat, scarf and jacket to get him warm"
Reese "a ring and bike because he likes them"
Harper "a chair in a box to sit on"

Here's a few pictures of the students sharing their thoughts with each other. Great work!
