Reading Buddies

Today the students worked on reading with a partner, to help each other problem solve unfamiliar words. I reminded the students to use their finger as a pointer to help them keep their place in the story, as well as use their letter sounds to stretch out and sound out unfamiliar words. When reading at home, asking and answering questions about the story would be beneficial for your child to practice, as story retell is a big part of reading comprehension.
