Today during play some of our SK girls built a rainbow using the connecting blocks. When they were finished we asked them how many blocks they had used. The girls quickly got to work counting each block one at a time, using their finger to keep track of which block they were counting. They each came up with a different number but were all very close to the actual number of 73 blocks. Any extra practice counting objects at home, using one to one correspondence by touching each object with their finger to ensure each gets counted, would be great for learning numbers. Great work!
