Today the students were asked 'how many letters are in your name?' and were given their name print books to help them count each letter in their name. Counting using one-to-one correspondence, where the children place their finger on each letter or object being counted to ensure accuracy, is a skill that we will be practicing daily. Any extra practice counting at home would be beneficial, especially when the children are being reminded to slow down and count each individual object before moving on to the next. Great work today!
