What a Fun Friday!

We had so much fun for Sports Day!

Tiger Day!

Today we will be playing the game Hit or Miss! We decided to play the boys vs the girls and Throughout the day the children will be trying to guess the other teams number. Every time they get a number right they earn a base. The first one to a homerun is the winner. We are really hoping for a tie!
we are all winners and will each get a sticker prize) so far the score is tied at one base each!

Clues Continued

Here are the eggs and surprises that were shared yesterday.
Again, great job on your clues and some wonderful printing! Keep up the good work! We can't wait to see what surprises are hiding in today's eggs!

Non-Fiction Texts

We've been working on non-fiction texts with the students. Our most recent one was Wonderful Worms by Linda Glaser. It's great for us to listen to the students responses after reading a text to them that is filled with so much information. We encourage you to try to add a few non-fiction texts to your at-home reading library. What a great skill for the students to have moving forward, to be able to listen to and learn about various topics, from the facts and illustrations presented in the book. Great work!
Here are some of our students talking and sharing with each other, their thoughts on the statement 'worms are the underground gardeners', found on the last page of the text.

Here are some of the thoughts that were shared.

I wonder what it could be?

Today we had lots of great clues and eggs come in. Great work everyone! We were able to share a few of them today during circle time and the students all seemed to really enjoy trying to figure out the clues. Looking forward to sharing more throughout the week. Congratulations on some super neat printing too!
