Happy Easter

We just want to wish everyone a very Happy Easter weekend! The children are all coming home with an Easter craft to share with you and your family. Enjoy your weekend!

What’s in your Egg?

Great work everyone on your Egg clues! Everyone seemed to enjoy trying to guess what was hiding in the egg. Keep up the good work!

Reach for the Stars...

Now that Spring is upon us, we’ve started to ask the children to try to Read to the Top, practicing sight words that we use daily. Those who are interested in trying and are able to read all the way to the top, are given a star to place on the top of the list to celebrate their accomplishment. Continued practice with sight words, letter sounds and letter recognition is encouraged moving forward. Keep up the good work everyone!

What’s in your Egg?

We are almost through everyone’s egg clues... great job everyone!

Just a friendly reminder...

Tomorrow is a PD Day. Enjoy your weekend!

What’s in your Egg?

The children have been super excited to share their Easter Egg clues and surprise treasures with the class! We have had a few students each afternoon present their clues and show their surprise treasure. Great job so far! We can’t wait to see what else is hiding in those eggs...

Rock Your Socks

Thank you to everyone for Rocking their Socks yesterday in support of World Down Syndrome Day!

Fun Friday

The children enjoyed lots of play and exploring today! Great work today! Happy March Break to everyone!

What’s In The Egg?

The students have brought home an Easter Egg Clue Challenge, that we will start presenting after March Break. Please don’t rush to have it done for the first day back, as it will take us a few days to get through everyone’s eggs. If you were away on Friday and didn’t receive your Egg, we have it here waiting for you. Enjoy your March Breaks!

Sight Word Fun

The children have been working very hard on practicing Sight Words! Today we played a game, where the students had to take turns coming up to the board to read a Sight Word, then tally how many of each Sight Word we had on our board. The students then worked on counting and comparing how many of each word there was using a bar graph, we even made a hands-on version of the bar graph using linking cubes. Any extra practice with Sight Word games is encouraged!

Teddy Bear Picnic

The last two days our Creative Centre has been super busy! The children really enjoyed tracing, cutting and decorating their own teddy bears. Any extra practice cutting, to further develop that fine motor development would be encouraged. Great work everyone!
