PJ Day

 What a great last day before the Christmas break! We had a dance party in the gym, watched a movie, had popcorn, and sorted ourselves into pj colour groups. Great work today everyone!

We’ve been working on various Christmas themed poems and read-alouds. The children all did a great job really thinking about the true meaning of Christmas, especially when we talked about the Grinch. Here are some of their responses...

Letter from Santa

Today the students were all very excited to receive mail from the North Pole! We got our letter from Santa today, which not only contained a ‘Nice List’ with all of our students names on it, but also a gift of sunflower seeds (mrs. Claus’ favourite) to be planted by our class in the new year to watch grow. What an exciting day!

Christmas Fun

Just a few friendly reminders for tomorrow and Friday. Tomorrow is Christmas shirt/sweater/colours day, so if you have a shirt that is Christmas themed please feel free to wear it. Friday is Christmas movie and popcorn day, where grades Jk-2 will enjoy a movie with some popcorn as a prize for raising the most money during our last fundraiser. Friday is also PJ Day for those who want to wear their Pjs... please note though that students will still be going out for recess. Finally tonight is our PAC Christmas carnival. 

 

Christmas Fun

The students have been hard at work on various Christmas activities. Recently we worked on measuring and comparing the length of different papers to make our own Christmas Trees. Then we worked on our cutting skills to cut out our own Christmas Stockings. Any extra practice with pencil/crayon grip, as well as scissor grip would be beneficial for your child moving forward. Great work everyone! 

 

 

Breakfast with Santa

Thank you so much to everyone for coming out today to Breakfast with Santa. We are so proud of how well all of the children performed! Great job everyone! This afternoon the children were treated to a Christmas concert by the St. Anne's Band and Choir. What a great show!

Name Print Practice

We are very excited to show you our most recent Name Print Practice activity... the students have all been working very hard at forming their letters in both upper and lower case. Some students have their name printed on the paper twice, once by them and once by a teacher for modelling purposes. Great work everyone! Keep up the practice! 

Report Card Envelopes

Thank you to those who have already returned their Report Card Envelope! If you have not returned it yet, please do so, as your child will be using the same envelope all year. Thank you for your continued support! 

Concert Time

Today all of the Kindergarten children were treated to a special performance by Mr. Bull, Mr. Webster and Mr. Renaud! The children all seemed to enjoy dancing along to the music... some were dancing so much that they are blurs in our pictures. A big thank you to our wonderful performers! Great job today!
