Important Field Trip Update

 

Celery Experiment

Yesterday the students were all very excited to start our Celery Experiment. We are trying to see if placing a piece of celery in coloured water will change the colour of the celery. While doing this we also experimented with mixing colours together to make new colours. The children were all amazed when after just a few short hours some of the celery pieces had already started to change colours. Lots of great observations happening in our room right now!

 

 

Field Trip News

Here is a copy of the form again, just in case you needed to double check times and location. Please remember that parents who are coming will need to drive their own vehicle, as the bus will be full of students. If you are planning on taking your child home with you after the trip, please make sure to let me know when you leave so I can mark your child off of my list. The students and I came up with a list of items to remember to bring in your backpacks, please make sure you look at that blog as well. Thank you again for all of your support! Looking forward to a fun day at the park!

Moving forward....

The other day, the students and I had a discussion about moving onto the next grade (SK or grade 1) in the fall. I asked the students to think,pair,share what they were most excited about for their next school year. Here is a picture of their answers. 

 

We made kites...

Today one of our students made a kite during Play with items from our Maker Station and then all of the students decided to make one too. I was so impressed with their hard work that we had to go out and fly them... so much fun! Have a nice weekend!
