Detailed Drawings
Today we read the story David's Drawings by Cathryn Falwell. The students all enjoyed watching David's drawing transition from a blank paper to a very colourful finished product. After we read the book, we worked together to add coloured details to our own class picture. This week we will be working on adding colour and detail to our drawings during centre time. This is a great skill to practice at home as well, ensuring that multiple colours and forms are being used, to illustrate their ideas on paper.

Literacy afternoon
Our first literacy afternoon took place today and due to some of our friends not feeling well we decided to have a class come in to buddy with us and read. The students had a great time and were even able to read to their older partner. Our next literacy afternoon will take place on March 31st and April 22nd. If you haven't already signed up for those dates and would like to be apart of our literacy hour please send us a note. Have a great weekend!
Welcome Back!
We had a lot of friends away yesterday, due to the bus cancellations. Today we welcomed many of our friends back with their favourite group dance, The Tooty-Ta! You should ask your child to show you this dance at home, they are becoming experts!
To all of of our friends who are still home and feeling under the weather, we all miss you and hope you feel better soon!

Wet Wednesday!
Despite the weather, we had a great Wednesday!
We even had a dance party in the afternoon to help get some exercise!
Letter M
Today we began our discussion of the letter M and asked the students to go home tonight and find something in the their home that starts with the letter M. They do not need to bring the item in but simply try and remember for our morning circle tomorrow. Thanks :)

Math Is Fun!
Today we had a few students who were really interested in having fun with math. They were adding, subtracting and printing numbers. What a great way to practice with numbers and counting. Keep up the good work!

Letter Fun
The students have been working hard on various letter activities. Yesterday some friends helped sort words on our felt word wall. Today everyone enjoyed an alphabet sorting game during circle time. We are on our way to becoming Letter Experts!
Bread Experiment Update
We have been really great germ detectives the last few weeks looking for any signs of germs on our experimental bread. Yesterday we asked the children why they thought the germs weren't showing, below is some of their responses:
We then asked the children if they thought adding another kind of bread would help speed our germs along. We repeated the same steps again using the same groups as the first time. The children are really hoping to see some progress with a different kind of bread!
